Wild camping above the Village

My Name is Andrew,
I was born in a little Village in South Wales called Glyncorrwg.
It’s where we used to mine Coal many years ago.
It’s Where the Mountains meet the stream.
It’s also called Little Switzerland to Many with the Steep sided valleys and Green vegetation.

As a little boy I have always been outside with My Grandad who still lives in my Little village today at the Grand old age of 86.
We didn’t have Great deal of things at the time, my love for the outdoors grew considerably.

This is where i built mountain ponds to swim in from the ice cold mountain water.
Camp overnight, build forest shelters, and cook my food on my self Built fire pit
overlooking my little village.
I always enjoyed Wild camping above the Village.

It just came alive at night seeing all the little houses lighting up after dark.
Cooking food on my Fire and Listening to the mountain Stream rolling past my Tent.

I have Since Moved To a larger Town Called Maesteg.
Where we still have mountains and streams Rolling into the Sea.
I still love to Spend time grabbing My Ruck sack Loading my Little tent which is a Vango Cairngorm 200.

I have built a self Contained cookset out of a Stanley stainless steel Mug 900ml
MSR Pocket Rocket stove.
Sleep mat and Sleeping bag and hitting the hills.

It makes me feel Alive I hope it does for you guys too.

I have lots of Camping stories but I’ll just leave you with this.

Just make memories and only Leave Footprints.
