I use most of my days off on Micro adventures. Alone and With My 7 year old son. With a calendar full My son, work and girlfriend mean I have to get All I Can get out off My days off. Aka Micro adventures!!!!
I, we..( Because My son does it to.. That’s the best part) hike, camp, bikepacking and bushcraft. For us it’s about being brave, knowledge and what it can give you on the positive note. Giving us positive input, that we are able to do much more than we think. Lessons Both I as a grown man, and My son too This Day are learning from.. And that everything is interesting if you look close enough. For us to do all these things we want to do, we have had to learn many new skills, in which give us the ability to push the limits and grow in confidence and belief in our self, that it’s not scary Around the next corner, the cold doesn’t scare us and so on. My son has been hiking and camping since he Was 4.. And that’s with his own kit. Because we have a lot of different equipment… Mine and My son his own, to make it possible.
This summer we took a 200k bikepacking trip along the East Coast of Denmark.. Trails grew men fear. Can’t be a more proud dad, but mostly and importantly. My son knows he is a badass that that Can do much more than he Things. I tell him often, don’t look to others to solve your problem, maybe you are the solution. Aka.. The sky is the limit. To make All This possible I do a lot of research. And often do the hikes or recon it Both on satellite, maps and in person. I do hiking mostly recently.. Ultralight, trails.. Done most of the trails in Denmark a couple of times by now, Both hiking and bikepacking… Nothing recharges My batteries like a weekend of just a day or hour on “the mission”. When it Comes to research it also just knowledge, so I Can learn My son New Thing. Building camp, fire, hydration on the trail, plants, trees, animals and so on.. I almost never just walk out the door. Most times there is some kind of goal. Make, walk, do, fix, invent, test, learn… When it Comes to My son it’s learning through fun. Even if it just 2 hours or 2 days.
